Conference with Scott's Family
This past weekend we all went to visit Scott's parents. Our church has General Conference (2 days of wonderfully inspired and inspiring talks from church leaders) and we wanted to enjoy it with Scott's family, so off we went. It's always wonderful to visit them. My mother-in-law, Janice, and I canned applesauce from the apples in their orchard. It turned out so yummy and I got to bring 5 quarts of it home! Pumpkin sure loves it. :) Mister loves playing on their 2 acre property. The trampoline is always a high priority, rain or shine. This weekend it was rain. He didn't mind at all. I, on the other hand, wasn't fond of getting soaked, but I really wanted him to enjoy himself, so I stayed out there with him until he had had enough. Then we took off our soaked shoes, socks, pants, etc, and cozied up under some blankets inside. :) My sister-in-law had a birthday on Sunday, so we got to celebrate with her. Since Scott still hasn't found a job, we didn't have to hurry home on Sunday night for work on Monday. That's one perk of being out of a job, I guess. We got to stay for the whole birthday celebration - homemade 4-layer chocolate cake and all!
