We went to visit Scott's family this past weekend and took the opportunity to go to a U of O game vs. Arizona. I can't tell you how disappointed I was with the result. My Wildcats played like garbage in the first half but mounted a pretty impressive comeback in the second half. But it was too little too late for the win. Spending the weekend with a bunch of Ducks fans afterward was tough, but at least they didn't rub it in or anything. I think if Arizona ended up winning (after being down 45-17 at the half) I might have had to find a different place to stay, so I'm glad I was still allowed to stay with my in-laws. :) I don't think Scott and I should attend these games together anymore. I'm just too competitive and too sore a loser to be able to tolerate Arizona losing to the Ducks. Scott, on the other hand, is a much nicer person than I am, so he's always gracious when the Ducks lose. I definitely married above myself in that respect. However, in the interest of maintaining marital harmony I think I'll either go with another AZ fan or just watch at home in a different room. The picture above is from the happy moments before the game, but after kick-off, it was a different scene..... :)

I hate it when I lose or when my team chalks up a big L. I remember one year when the Colts lost to the Pats I made our friend Josh (a Pats fan) go home after the crushing defeat. I just couldn't stand to look at that grin anymore.... I am SUCH a poor loser. It's pretty pathetic.
Hey Marissa, we actually live in Idaho now. We were in the Spokane area for about 10 months but Dan's job changed so we moved.
Although I went to BYU, I am a much, much bigger Duck fan when it comes to football and basketball. It keeps our family in harmony.

Did you ever get those pictures of Scott I sent a while back? I can't remember.
Anyway, you guys look so happy, I know things are rough, but you'll only become closer and stronger because of it......right!? :)
