This time of year is a busy (and fairly expensive) one for us. Scott's and my birthdays fall within days of each other, and for those few days we are the same age. I love it. I was born the year before Scott, but during these couple of days I'm always telling people that we're both 29, we're both 30, etc, so I don't feel like the cradle robber I am. :) It's not bad, but still, I don't like being the older one.
It seems like we have birthday clusters in our family. All of our boys are winter babies (Dec, Jan and Feb) which makes it the most expensive time of year, by far, when you include Christmas too. So I'm glad Scott and I have a 1/2 year off before the birthday festivities start up again. It's good to spread it out a bit.
You'd think that since we have summer birthdays that we'd have a pretty good guarantee of having a nice warm, sunny day served up on a platter for our special days. And you'd be wrong. Apparently summer is skipping over our part of the country this year. Thursday's forecast is 66 and rainy, in case you were wondering. Yeah, that's typical July weather right. Mmmm hmmm, sure - in northern Canada maybe. Can you tell I'm feeling sun-deprived? :)
Anyway, we're feeling blessed to be able to celebrate another round of birthdays together this year and many more to come. Happy birthday to us: to my awesome hubby who hit the big 3-0 this year and to me, his lovely wife who will be the same age for a little while longer before trudging further into my 30s by turning 31 soon. Yikes, I feel old.
