New Booster

Yesterday at around 6:45pm our UPS man finally made it around to our house and delivered the much-awaited booster seat. It was soooo nice and easy to put together we decided that we just had to go out for a drive to test it out. Much to our disappointment, even on the lowest head rest setting, it was still too tall for Mister and the seatbelt was at an awkward position, really digging into his neck and barely even touching his shoulder, it was that high. At the lowest setting. So we double-checked the manual and it says it's a seat for children ages 3-10 and 37" and taller. As of February Mister was 41.5" and it was still too tall for him..... So either there are some freakishly tall 3 year olds out there or the 37" minimum height requirement was a misprint. Either way, it wasn't going to work. And I didn't want to pay all that money to ship it back to the online store to get a refund because it really is a great seat, it's just too tall. So we went out and got a Graco TurboBooster at the store this morning and it fits him much better. It's nice and padded and has great safety ratings, but he doesn't like it as much as the Recaro one. He was almost in tears when I said we were either going to give it to Grandma for her car or sell it. So now I don't know what to do. I'm thinking I'll try working with the Recaro one a little more and if I can find a way to make it work I'm going to return the Graco seat. Wish me luck. This picture is of him in the Graco seat earlier today. He is smiling here but only after I tricked him into it. He wanted his Recaro seat!

I wanted to say how cute those gardening pictures were! I love FHE nights where all we do is finish a chore we started that weekend!! :) They're the best!
You guys look great!
I haven't been following the blog very well--how is the job hunting fr Scott? Has he found something? I hope so! Bryan is looking for a "civilian" job now too. Now that his military training is over this June--he'll need a full time job by the end of the year! yikes!
