Happy Birthday Scott!

Today we celebrated Scott's birthday by going out to the coast so he could go surfing and try out his new birthday present (his 9 1/2 foot longboard surfboard). His parents came into town last night and we all went together. Scott and his dad surfed all day and my mother in law and I hung out on the beach and played with the boys. It was a hot day in the valley today so it was nice to get out to the coast's cool 64 degrees. It was so refreshing, but it's a good thing I remembered those fleeces. We needed them sometimes. :)

So Scott was born in the wee hours of the morning way back in the day - oh wait, I'm older than him, maybe I shouldn't say WAY back in the day. Just a bit back in the day..... :) Anyway, he was born 10 days early and weighed in at a whopping 9lbs 10oz and was 23 inches long! I can't even imagine! His parents said that if they hadn't seen him being born with their own eyes they never would've believed that he was theirs because he was so huge and all their other children were in the 6-7 lb range (Scott is the 5th of 7 children).

I'm so grateful to be married to such an amazing guy. He is such a wonderful example of love, patience, kindness and selflessness. He helps me to be a better person and is the most devoted husband and father. Our family is so blessed to have him! I love you honey!
