The Simple Life

Since Scott opened his agency back in October, we have been strapped financially. Very strapped. We know it'll be worth it in the end when he gets his contract, and we went into this year knowing how tough it would be financially. We've definitely had to simplify our lives and look for fun in less-costly activities. But just because we are living on savings alone doesn't mean that we don't make time for some free fun. Our kids are happy, healthy and have no idea that we're dirt poor right now.  :)

**And for some reason I couldn't get the pictures to line up properly.....Sorry.

We go for bike rides and walks.

We visit and feed the pony who lives across the street from us.

We bundle up Baby Bear and get out in the fresh air.

We play at the park.

We play in the snow: snow angels, snowmen and snowball fights!

Even peeling the bark off trees holds appeal for a 3 year old.

They get plenty of love when they fall down and get hurt.

And no matter what, they ALWAYS know they're loved.

Simple and loving are priceless. Everything else is just 'stuff'. As you get older, people tend to want to get back to a simpler life and enjoy the really special precious moments...so enjoy your simple life to the fullest. You will look back on these days and realize what a gift it really was. I love you.
