We just took Pumpkin to his 9 month appointment today. Boy those shots are awful. He cried and I almost cried in sympathy, but I held it together ok in the end. Here are his stats:
Height: 30" (93rd %)
Weight: 21 lbs (56th %)
Head: 47 cm (90th %)
He's getting a bit too heavy to carry around in the infant carrier, so he'll probably be making the switch to a regular carseat soon. Less convenient for the naps he'll still take in his carseat at church, but more convenient to not have to lug him around all the time.
Just for comparison, Mister was 20 lbs and 27 3/4" tall when he was the same age. So far Pumpkin is the bigger of the two even though he weighed 7lbs 12 oz when he was born and Mister was 8lbs 1 oz. But Mister was 2 days late and Pumpkin came 12 days early. I think Pumpkin would've been bigger than Mister was if he'd been born at the same time, 2 days late. I'm just glad he's growing strong and happy. He's such a blessing in our lives. I can't believe I ever doubted whether I could love a second baby as much as my first. Seriously, I always thought that the firstborns (like me) were the best loved, even if nobody admitted it.... But it's so not true. I love Pumpkin just as intensely as I love Mister!

As far as sleeping at church in his carseat. I have recently discovered strollers at church. Yup, I've been taking my umbrella stroller in to church. E's not nearly as big as pumpkin, but I just couldn't carry him around anymore (he likes to be walked to sleep at church). The stroller has been a lifesaver. I wish I would have thought about it with the first two! I'll just walk him around the halls and he falls asleep and the day is that much better for everyone.

He is a big baby! WEll, really long. Isn't it sad that Preston is only 4 and 1/2 months and he is already 17 pounds? LOL he is catching up with Pumpkin! hahahha.
I know, you absolutely love both the same. Your boys are so cute! Maybe some day we can see eachother and have our boys play, they'd have so much fun!!
i seriously can't believe that your little man was the same weight and stuff as lilly when he was her age. He is such a chunk! a cute one that is.. I seriously just want to pinch those cheeks!
