Blogged.com
So I've been trying to keep our blog as private as possible without actually setting it to the "private" setting where everyone would have to sign in to view our blog. I don't know how this happened, but my friend Lisa and I noticed that the same stranger left comments on our blogs that led us back to the site blogged.com. Somehow, even though she has the same security/privacy settings I do, both of our blogs ended up listed on this blog network. They picture they had up on their site was from before we changed our boys' names to nicknames and still had our last name on it. It was scary to see it all up there like that. I contacted their support desk and asked them to immediately remove my blog from their directory, which they thankfully did this morning. Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm going to make my blog private yet, but I'm going to monitor things even more closely than before and see how we feel. Just thought I'd pass along the information in case any of you wanted to see if your blogs are listed there when you didn't know about it or want it there. In the search site enter the first part of your blog address (ie: scottandmarissa with no spaces) and see if it comes up.

Best to be cautious.
Cute picture at the top of your blog!
My blog didn't come up on the website. But I can see why it would make you nervous.
I went to that site and put in "willandjenni" and our blog came right up. I really don't mind though, even with our names on there we never list our home town or any personal info like that. Even if someone tried to look us up our names are so incredibly common they would have to sort through hundreds and hundredds of Will Thomas' and Jenni THomas's in the Seattle area.
I did search for my professional name though "Jennifer T..." to see if my personal blogs came up and fortunatey they did NOT. I try very very hard to make sure I never post my name as Jennifer on my blog as I don't want music fans or weirdos to find my family blogs. No one in the music world knows I go by "Jenni".
