I realize it's been a while since I posted anything, but there really hasn't been anything that blog-worthy to write about lately. Just the same old, same old. I've been playing a lot of "referee" between my boys. Mister is often mean to his little brother and is actually pretty creative in terms of coming up with new ways to torment him. If it wasn't such mean behavior I'd be proud of his creativity. Pumpkin isn't quite so creative yet (don't worry, give him time and I'm sure he'll come up with some good ones) so he mostly sticks to the old stand-by: good old-fashioned hitting. There have been lots and lots of fights around here lately, but also lots and lots of laughter. It seems that they are getting better at playing together, but I'd guess that 95% of the time those games either end up in fighting or in someone getting hurt (even if by accident), so either way the outcome is usually that both boys are in tears. Aaaahhhh, sounds relaxing doesn't it. :)
Other than that we've just been tending to our garden and hanging out. Mister absolutely LOVES watering the vegetables and asks to do this multiple times a day. Unfortunately this sense of pride and caretaking doesn't extend to his actually trying to eat any of said vegetables. I can usually convince (ahem - bribe) him to take at least one bite, but it invariably ends up with him gagging and holding the food in his mouth for forever thus prolonging his torture. Ah well. Maybe some day his taste buds will change. Pumpkin still likes to eat pretty much anything we give him. It's nice to only have to worry about one picky eater.
We are going to the coast on Friday for the holiday weekend. I'm really excited - not only is it a much-needed getaway, but the weather is supposed to be between 69-75 degrees and sunny every day! That's OUTSTANDING weather for the coast up here. Usually you don't know what you're going to get. The resort we're staying at is right on the beach and we're looking forward to taking lots of pictures, making sandcastles, hunting for sea shells and swimming in the resort's heated pool. Can't wait.
Well, I hope I haven't bored you all with our mundane lives. Just thought I should update our blog so you know we're still here and doing well.
OH - And Scott got a raise today! Yippee! That's always a welcome change! :)

Congratulations Scott on your Raise! Mister takes after his grandpa.....Steve does not like vegetables & I do everything to try to get them in him everyday. I come up with different ideas & sometimes he really likes it. I always hated it when the kids fought so I am sorry you are going through that.....it takes alot of patience. We Love You All & have a Wonderful time this weekend!!!
CONGRATULATIONS
I am so proud of Scott! As for the boys, this is typical. The trick is keeping your sanity. Glad you have a nice getaway planned for the holiday...have fun!
The beach here has the most wonderful seashells. By the time we were ready to leave, the kids had collected enough to fill a shoebox. We only came home with a handful. Hope you have fun and be safe!
Oooooh have fun at the coast! That sounds so nice right now. :)
