Here are some random picutres we've taken lately. Our clubhouse's pool opens every year on Memorial Day weekend, so with all this hot weather we've been having Mister has wanted to take advantage of it. Like I said in the last post, he's part fish. Pumpkin watched from the sidelines again after we tried sitting him on the edge to get his feet wet and he started crying. We really need to get some swim lessons for Mister. He's not afraid of the water at all and he jumped in all by himself without either of us there to catch him yesterday. Fortunately it was into the 3 ft part and he was able to push off the bottom for a few seconds until I jumped in to pick him up. Scott was swimming underwater on the other side of the pool so he didn't see him at all. I guess Mister couldn't wait for him to get all the way over to his side so he jumped in to meet him, apparently forgetting that he doesn't know how to swim. Thank goodness I decided to wear my bathing suit even though I didn't really want to swim. It was definitely convenient at that point. It scared the crap out of us though. So that's our priority this summer - teach the boy to swim!Mister made Scott his first Father's Day present at preschool (since there wouldn't be any school by then and they already did something for the moms). Scott loved it.

Here he is with the rest of his preschool class and his teacher. It was a wonderful experience and I'm excited for him to go next year too. Hopefully he'll have matured a little and won't have as many self-control issues by then.....

Like I said, it's been really hot here. He likes to wear as little clothing as possible, so this is his new standard outfit for our backyard. Fortunately it was shady by then so we didn't have to slather him with sunscreen. But I love this picture. Mater underwear and fireman boots. Classic. :)

That's so funny! When Daniel was littel-er, we would ask him to go and get himself dressed. He always cae out with his superman underware, his rain boots, and a beanie! Seriously--I think it's a boy thing!
Where do you live? Portland? Washington? I forget. But you HAVE to take me and my family to those pretty woody spots! I can't wait for your family portraits too!
You are so funny--the girl on Mamma mia!?! Yeah right! I was actually thinking of how beautiful you are--such a perfect smile--but I thought you might think me weird for posting that on your blog.....too late now!! haha
enjoy the heat! I can't wai to escape the FLorida humidity! Only three more weeks and we'e headed home!!
What about a sweet pair of "water wings" until those lessons kick in? Children and pools are my greatest fear...
Thanks so much for your message! It's good to know where we can turn to and I appreciate your support!
I think every man would secretly like a picture in their cartoon underwear and boots! That is a great photo! And thank heaven you were close by to grab Mister! Definitely, swim lessons are in order!
P.S. So nice to see the smile and joy on both Dad and son for this 1st Father's Day gift.
What a way to end a Blog & such a Great Pic.....someday when Mister is older he is going to say Thanks Mom I am so embarrassed but how cute he is in the underwear & boots. I Love to see kids who are fish in the water. It was really hot here today and your Dad & I worked in the yard & trimmed bushes & it looks beautiful. We Love You Guys!!!
Mister is so adorable. I love the swimming picture and the summer outfit picture. If i had fireman boots I would wear them all the time.
I am so happy that you were right there to grab Mister when he went in. I've jumped in countless times for kids, and am so glad you were right there. It is a scary thing. I am also really glad that you're going to teach him how to swim, it is a necessity to learn to swim. Mister is adorable in his undies and boots. I love you and can't wait until I can see you again! Xoxo's!
