Mister has always been a bit of a daredevil and has wanted to go on the big roller coaster for the last two years. This summer he was finally tall enough to go on with a parent, so up we went. He thought the ride was much too loud though, so he spent the entire ride (and time in line) covering his ears. He's always had sensitive hearing, so that didn't surprise me really. But it sure was cute to see.

Here's the obligatory self-portrait picture:

Even though Pumpkin was too small to get on any rides (and I doubt he would've liked them much anyway - he's much more cautious than Mister) he happily cheered Mister on. We stayed ALL DAY LONG and Pumpkin missed his nap but still did amazingly well. It wasn't until we got home that he completely crashed. But by then he'd had a bath (it's amazing how dirty you can get at a fair) and had his bed close by. So we put him to bed at 6pm and he slept like a log all night long. I think the long day caught up with both of them though. When I had to wake them up for church on Sunday morning they were both really cranky with me. That sure made for an interesting time at church..... Too bad fun days like that usually come with a price. But it was completely worth it! :)

That looks like a lot of fun. Your boys are getting big.
Wow- Mister is so brave! What a fun way to spend the day :)
Loving Mister's faux hawk!
Mister starts talking about the fair way before it arrives and talks about it long after it is gone. You have captured your family outing well so that even though they are too young to remember, years from now, the can relive it through your beautiful photos.
I love his hair too. I would never have thought to do that myself but one day he asked me for "sharky hair" so he could have a fin like a shark.... He loves it. :)
I Love the Fairs and I Miss them so much. I was raised going to the county fairs every summer as a little girl and I took my three kids as they were growing up! What wonderful family memories!!!
