Very well thank you. :) Our garden is just bursting right now and we are really enjoying eating the food we've been able to grow ourselves. Our tomatoes are finally starting to turn and I can almost taste all that delicious salsa I'm going to make. Our red potato plant has really shot up lately and we are eating some of those delicious little babies tonight with dinner. I can buy these same things in the store, but for some reason they just taste so much better when we just pick them from the garden. Pumpkin, in typical "I-can't-be-more-than-a-few-feet-away-from-my-dad-at-all-times", came out to help us pick some of the potatoes. He LOVES to eat, loves potatoes, and was pretty hungry when we went out there that he tried to eat the potatoes he was supposed to be putting in the bowl. He thought it was pretty funny up until we confiscated them so we could start cooking dinner. And as if all this bounty from our own yard isn't enough, our new neighbors brought us a big box (think moving box size) of plums from their old house. Their old place had plum trees with more plums than they knew what to do with so they brought us a huge box - about 20 lbs of fresh plums. Which is also more than we'll be able to eat, so if you live nearby and want some, please feel free to come claim a bag or two for yourself or your family!

We survived the scorching heat that broke a ton of NW records. Our air conditioner broke on Monday afternoon but fortunately Scott was able to pull some strings and have it fixed by Tuesday at lunch. Both boys came down with a 36 hour fever, so Tuesday and Wednesday I was taking care of Pumpkin and Thursday and Friday it was Mister's turn. At least Scott and I didn't get it. Now that everyone's healthy again (and the forecast is more conducive to outdoor activities) we're looking forward to getting out of the house more in the next little while.
Scott got me some pretty amazing birthday gifts this year. First, he got me a nice small backpack for my camera to protect it better. I'm planning on expanding my lens collection soon, so it'll be great to carry around a couple lenses without worrying about hurting anything. But what was probably my favorite gift was Scott's coupon that promised to do the dishes for the next two weeks! It's been such a nice break from clean-up duty and he's been so great about it. I hurried to do the dishes one night b/c we were having people over for dinner and Scott wouldn't have been home in time to do it, but then he got upset with me for doing it. He really means it - he wants to do all the dishes! I love my husband!
After getting off to a rough start, Saturday turned out to be pretty great. I got to take a day to myself to do some things I've been wanting to do without the boys. I went to the mall and looked for new foundation since the one I use has been discontinued. I found that I'm totally obsessed with the Laura Mercier mineral powder foundation. :) Those Nordstrom makeup counters are soooo wonderful. I could've spent hours there just playing. Then I went to Borders and just browsed to my heart's content. I ended up buying a nice PhotoShop how-to book so I can learn to edit my photos better so they'll look more professional. Then it was off to Red Robin for my free birthday burger. Ummmm.....delish! After that I can't believe I still had room, but I went to Cold Stone for my free birthday ice cream. (If you sign up on both of these websites they give you a free burger and ice cream on your birthday). I especially enjoyed it because I didn't have to worry about sharing either of them with the boys or worry about keeping them entertained at a restaurant. It was a great Saturday! :)
Nothing too earth-shattering. Well, I'm off to eat dinner with the family. Hope you all have had a good week and a relaxing weekend.

Your vegetable garden looks terrific and it is great that the boys like to help Scott in the garden. As for your Saturday ... everyone needs time to themselves from time to time to recharge batteries. I am so glad you got that for yourself this weekend. It is so nice of Scott to give you that breathing room.
Scott is a good husband. And I'm so jealous of your garden. I can't wait to grow a garden. Yours looks amazing.
Your garden is amazing. How fun to be able to grow your own food!
The garden looks great! Daniel is working on tomato plants and rosemary. We've used the rosemary thus far. Delicious.
What a fun relaxing day! And Red Robin and Cold Stone are Two of Your Dad's Favorites! We Love you All!!!
