Things got off to a great start on Friday with a pub crawl. I originally didn't think I'd be able to go on it with my siblings because my babysitters are now back in school and the pub crawl was during lunch and Pumpkin's nap time. Fortunately Mom came to the rescue and she and my aunt watched the boys for me so I could go enjoy some quality time with my sister and brothers. Thanks Mom! It was so amazing to all be together again after so long. Ok, it was in January, but still, that seems like a long time to go without seeing my siblings. I miss the days when we all lived closer (or at least had entire summers off and winter vacations to see each other for longer and not worry about taking time off work). Anyway, the pub crawl was great. I didn't order lunch since I was still full from the enchiladas we had at my parents' house (for breakfast, mind you), so I just ordered an appetizer of sweet potato fries. I've never seen such a huge serving of fries in my life! I ate a bit and forced others to eat them too, and I still brought home what looked like a full order of fries (from a regular restaurant that is). Delish!
Here is a picture of me with my brother Kiel:

Kiel and his gorgeous wife Lauren live in the DC area. Boo that they live so far! I love hanging out with them! :)

Me being really excited about my sweet potato fries. But the picture doesn't do them justice. It was a HUGE plate!

Kristen and me:
Not being a drinker myself, I don't know how the brews stacked up from one place to the next, but Brian sure seemed to be enjoying this one:
My brother David and Kristen. Appropriate that he's wearing a Guinness shirt to a pub crawl, no? :)

That night Kristen and Brian had a welcome happy hour for everyone. Most people had flown in from California and it was so great to get to meet some of Kristen and Brian's friends. The happy hour was at a Peruvian restaurant in the city and it was divine! I never knew I liked peruvian food before all this wedding planning and getting to go on the tastings before-hand. Yikes, it's delish! The only thing that put a damper on this night was the fact that I had a cold and was losing my voice. By the time we got home that night I was joking that I'd left my voice at the restaurant and was sad that nobody had turned it in. Haha, I'm hilarious, I know. Also, because of said cold I could not hold my new little niece that I've been waiting to meet since she was born in April. Naturally that would happen to me. The one time I get sick all year and it's when I want to cuddle and love on my niece. She's so darling, I just about died when I got to finally meet her only to have to keep my distance. Grrrr....
Here are all the cousins on my side of the family. Yep, only 3. Compared to the 13 on Scott's side. We've got a lot of catching up to do! :) Just joking, I doubt we'll make it that high. :)

We brought the boys with us to the happy hour and they were pretty well-behaved. I was surprised at how they actually tried the new foods (we don't normally have things like mango ceviche at home). Mister is a really friendly little guy so he was making friends left and right, mooching drinks here and there. Pumpkin is a bit more reserved so he stayed with either me or Scott or played with Mister. They had fun finding little nooks to hide in or tables to climb under.

This is the way our family pictures go these days: Mister is too busy playing to be bothered with pictures and this is the smile we get (if we're lucky) when we tell him to smile at the camera. And Pumpkin almost never smiles in family pictures and we have to physically restrain him or his thumb would be in his mouth in every single picture. Oh well.

It looks like you all had a wonderful time. I love family time together. There is nothing better! I am so glad you were all able to be together on such a beautiful special occasion. The boys are so cute! We Love You All!!!
Such fun! I honestly wish I could rewind this day and make a few "adjustments" so we could have enjoyed it even more!
Marissa - You got some GORGEOUS shots on your camera. I'm glad we got to spend some time together, although it went by much too quickly. Looking forward to Thanksgiving....
