Kristen was the most beautiful bride! I've never seen her look so stunning and happy. She just glowed!Kristen and Brian got married at a park down on the waterfront and had their reception at an adjacent restaurant with amazing river views. We had the most beautiful weather too, which was nice. They are both really outdoorsy and the decorations and all the greenery was perfect in addition to the gorgeous garden they got married in. It couldn't have been more "them". The ceremony was short but very touching. Scott read an Apache prayer for them and Kristen and Brian wrote their own vows to each other. It totally made me get misty-eyed. They are so perfect for each other, I couldn't be happier for them!

Kristen's bouquet:

All the siblings and all the spouses. I can't believe we're all married now! I think we all picked great spouses because we all get along so well. I love my family!

Kristen and me:

Their wedding cake was spectacular! And delicious! I somehow managed to swipe two pieces and loved every bite (but ended up regretting it afterward when I felt sick from all the sugar).

They rented out the entire restaurant for the reception. It was so spectacular: chic, classy, elegant, swanky, etc. Perfect place for a reception.

They had hors d'hoerves (sp?) and cocktails on the bar side of the restaurant and out on the patio. This is only one side - it wrapped around all on the other side too.

Kiel and me:

All the siblings and spouses (minus Kristen and Brian who had their own table with the wedding party) got to sit together. That was so much fun! I love this picture of Kiel and Lauren.
Scott and me enjoying the reception:

Unfortunately I didn't get that many pictures of the reception, but I did catch this sweet kiss after they cut the cake.

I loved that they decided to get married up in the Northwest. We were able to take our boys to the happy hour, but we also got to hire a babysitter for the night of the wedding and just enjoy an adults-only date night out without worrying about them knocking over the cake or getting cranky past their bedtime.
It was sad that they were all in town for such a short time but I am grateful for even having a few days to spend with my siblings. I love them so much and really love it when we all get together. Kristen and Brian were able to come over and watch football and play games on Sunday night, which was super fun. Mister (who couldn't be persuaded to wear clothes since we were at home, naturally) wasted no time luring Uncle Brian into games of tickle and chase and swinging him around. He just ate it up! Even Pumpkin warmed up more than ususal. It was a great way to cap off an amazing weekend. We miss everyone already!
